CITI Login

MSU licenses training from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) for many subjects. After training is completed in the CITI system, records are transferred to MSU’s training compliance system (Ability LMS) for compliance tracking.

Getting Access, Account Setup

MSU Faculty, Staff and Students

Log in using your netID and password using MSU's single-sign-on process.

• Upon first login, you'll be asked if you had a previous CITI account, which can be merged with your MSU account to avoid retaking past courses.  
• Set your primary address to the netid@msu.edu format to ensure your records are found during the weekly transfer process to MSU’s training compliance system.
• To launch training, click View Courses > Learner Tools > Add a Course to select applicable subjects. You must answer all questions.
• Training records are not released for import into MSU's training compliance system until you have completed all required modules in a given CITI course. 

Non-MSU Learners 

Affiliates of an MSU project or Henry Ford collaboration who do not have an MSU online access account can register for a personal CITI account.
